As children we were allowed to stop halfway through a long walk, to take a breather before carrying on. But as adults we forget. We keep pushing, telling ourselves, “I’ll rest when it’s all done.” And of course, it’s never all done.
The truth is, we don’t just need rest at the finish line we need it in the middle. Even two minutes to pause, breathe, soften our shoulders, feel our feet on the ground. It isn’t laziness. It’s resourcing.
When we rest in the middle, we meet life differently: steadier, kinder, with more to give. So don’t wait until the end. Pause now.
